Fire Prevention Division

Fire Prevention is a dynamic division within the fire district providing a number of community related services. The Division is supervised by the Fire Marshal who directs the division’s activities utilizing Deputy Marshals, Fire Inspectors, Fire Investigators, and administrative staff. All members of the Fire Prevention Division maintain a number of certifications and memberships in professional organizations affiliated with fire and life safety. The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for the development and administration of the adopted fire code and fire code standards, construction plan reviews, public education, fire prevention through fire safety inspections, wildfire mitigation and conducting fire investigations. Rincon Valle Fire District has adopted the 2024 International Fire Code, and amendments that are specific to construction and occupancy use within our district.
