RVFD Firefighters work 48-hour shifts and the fire station is like a home away from home. They eat meals, workout, and perform training exercises together at the fire station when they are not providing a direct service to the public. When they are shopping for their shared meals they have their radios and are ready to respond to an emergency should the public need their assistance.
